For Volunteers

KDCCC volunteers are caring members of our community, students at local colleges, or come to us through programs such as Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Work First and VolunTeens.

To sign up for volunteering, you may call the KDCCC Executive Director, Kathy McNinch at 382-3640 for an interview. We have a short application form to fill out and we will also perform a background check. We provide a detailed orientation before you begin volunteering.

Our volunteers work alongside experienced child care professionals (KDCCC staff) and learn effective parenting skills and child development. They learn appropriate ways to interact with infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. They also experience the joy of caring for a fun and diverse group of children.

KDCCC Volunteer Board of Directors

To become a member of our board of directors, please contact the Director Kathy McNinch. Board members serve 3 year terms. They work together to promote KDCCC in the community and help maintain financial stability for the Center through fundraising and grant writing. The board of directors meets in the evening on the third Tuesday of the month.
